Discover Tarangire

Baobabs, Elephants and the Tarangire River

Tarangire National Park lies south of Arusha and is one of the most scenic parks on the northern circuit. Giant baobab trees stand across rolling hills and grassy valleys.

The Tarangire River is the park's lifeline. During the dry season, animals concentrate along its banks, creating excellent wildlife viewing.

Because it is relatively close to Arusha, Tarangire works well as a first stop on a longer safari or as a shorter trip.
